Armenian Genocide : Georgetown Boys Heritage Plaque Unveiling Ceremony
It was on July 1st, 1923 that the people of Georgetown would accept into their community a group of young boys who were survivors of the Armenian genocide that took place in Turkey nearly 100 years ago. This ceremony was held in memory of the Georgetown boys not only to honor their struggles and sufferings but to honor their perseverance for a better life. Not only was this the first taste of freedom for the children, but it was the first ever International aid relief Canada has participated in.

Poverty, People and Trenton
Trenton has almost finished it's construction on a newer, bigger, faster LCBO, you know because that's just one thing the town needs more of. Alcoholics. I'm sure tax dollars and government funds could have been spent more efficiently and progressively. A few of these photos are of the houses that once stood there. The rest of these photos are of other impoverished parts of Trenton. This is only the beginning of this project though. I don't know what it is about Trenton that makes it what it is. But I know that it's not a place to thrive by any means, I don't know whether it's the fluoride in the water, the lack of ambition it brings, or the abundance of dead-end jobs, It just doesen't feel at all like a place you want to live your whole life. But regardless Trenton is filled with poverty and in general is just a miserable place, it's almost like a stigma. But if we stay true to ourselves, our goals and our dreams, we can all escape.
